Here at Parlon, journaling is one of our favorite ways to reflect and get our thoughts out. Writing and dumping everything down, whether that’s on a piece of paper or via the Notes app on your phone, is a good practice to have for you to clear your head and make sense of what it is you’re currently feeling.
The Holy Week is a time of reflection and rest. And no matter where you are, we hope you’re able to take time to decompress, write, and reflect. We wrote a few journal prompts below to help you get started.
On Relationships and Love
- How do you show kindness to others? How do you extend that kindness to yourself?
- Write about three instances when you felt truly loved.
- What’s one relationship you regret having or not having?
- Write three acts of self-love that you want to incorporate in your daily life.
- What do you love about yourself?
On Career and Goals
- Write down a list of five small wins you’ve had at work recently.
- If money didn’t matter, what job would you want to have and why?
- What goals are you working on right now? What actions are you taking to achieve them?
- How do you feel at the end of the day when you get off work? Why do you think that is?
- Where do you want to be five years from now?
On Self-Reflection
- What is causing you the most stress right now?
- What lies do you often tell yourself?
- Finish this sentence: “A meaningful life to me is…”
- How do you honestly handle criticism from others?
- What do you need to hear today? How can you uplift yourself without the validation of others?
On Beauty and Self-care
- How are you taking care of yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically?
- List down 10 things that make you feel beautiful.
- Write down some of the best compliments you’ve received from others.
- How do you define and prioritize self-care?
- What brings you the most joy and how do you find time for it?
Did any of the prompts strike a chord with you? Start writing your answers down and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. Remember that in self-discovery (and in anything else), honesty really is the best policy.
Have a meaningful and restful break this week, Besties!
