Staycations are amazing. They allow for quick breathers that–let’s face it–all of us need at some point, especially on extra stressful weeks. And you know that we’re all about not gatekeeping, so we’re spilling the deets on what’s probably our fave staycation escape.
Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences is a hotel located in Salcedo Village, right at the heart of Makati’s hustle and bustle. It has a whopping 144 rooms–the largest in the city–ranging from studios, lofts, to suites. Allow us to take you through a virtual tour of the hotel!
We’re partial to The Picasso Loft because we love how bright and spacious the entire room is. The bi-level floor layout features a dining table, a living room, a kitchenette, a king-sized bed, a balcony, and more.
If you plan on staying here to work, don’t fret! They have a working high-speed WiFi connection and a conducive working area inside the unit.
Upstairs is where the bedroom is, along with the private bath that comes equipped with a full tub and a rain shower.
What we like most, though, is the amount of natural light day-round! We don’t know about you, but we just feel more energized and comfortable when we’re not completely isolated from the outside world (or pretty views, for that matter).
If lofts aren’t your cup of tea, they’ve got other beautiful and modern rooms, too. Take your pick among the Malaga Studio or Superior, the Andalusia Junior Suite, the Barcelona Suite, and the Mallorca Adjoining Rooms, which would be perfect for bigger groups.
What makes this hotel even more unique is that they have an in-house museum, the Altro Mondo Gallery. You’ll find it on the third floor of the hotel and it showcases gorgeous exhibitions from up-and-coming local and international artists.
All the pieces in the exhibit are curated and switched out by the Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea every two or three months to keep the displays fresh and interesting each time you visit.
Need to work out? They have a gym, too, that takes up two levels! We love how spacious the area is, especially since not everyone is comfortable with crowded fitness rooms.
If you’d rather go find something to eat, the Pablo Bistro and Cartel Deli are both located at the ground floor of the hotel.
Pablo Bistro is a Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant with hefty dishes such as striploin steaks and delicious paellas. At night, they offer a specially-curated menu of liquor, too. On the other hand, Cartel Deli is the neighborhood cafe you can visit for a jolt of caffeine or some light breakfast meals, including sandwiches, salads, pasta, and more.
Here’s a tip: if you’d rather eat at your room, room service is available for in-house guests!
The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences is also conveniently located near Ayala Center and Salcedo Saturday Market. TBH, though, we find the hotel to be a destination on its own. No need to stray too far to have fun and relax!
