Depending on your hair goals and health, highlighting may or may not involve bleach. My goal was towards cherry copper, so bleach was needed to reach a light base the red can cling to.
Ulo Salon uses AVEDA products for bleach and color. It’s plant-based and doesn’t contain harsh chemicals. The bleaching process had no fumes and no tingling! Every few minutes, the stylists also check on your bleach.
After four hours of highlighting, my hair was toned cherry red. This took around two hours. The color came out so vibrant! Color fades over time with washing, so the stylists leave room for your color to last longer.
