On August 27, Parlon was present at Project Vanity’s 14th anniversary event, which carried the theme “Brave and Beautiful” and was held at Palm Grove in the Rockwell Club.
Hosted by journalist Carol R.H. Malasig, the afternoon was a celebration for all beauty enthusiasts, specifically those within the loyal and strong Project Vanity community, as they all came together to listen to stories of reinvention, self-discovery, and determination.
Several generous Parlon partners joined in on the fun by giving away exciting beauty and wellness prizes, and helping people discover what they can see, get, and experience with Parlon. Shoutout and much love and gratitude to YSA Aesthetics and Wellness, Cocoon Lifestyle Station, Marqed Salon, Vine Aesthetics, and Azta Urban Salon! 🥰
Project Vanity founder and editor-in-chief Liz Lanuzo kicked off the event and welcomed everyone into the much awaited anniversary event, which had three amazing and empowering speakers in the line-up. First off was multi-hyphenated Myrza Sison, who’s now an executive coach and a podcast host. She talked about reinventing yourself, how to do it, and why it’s never too late for anyone.
When people reinvent themselves, they realize they've been climbing the wrong ladder or the ladder they're climbing seems impossible to reach.
The next speaker was Lynn Pinugu, founder of Mano Amiga and co-founder and CEO of She Talks Asia, who shared about how she strives to nurture grit, grace, and gratitude in every aspect of her life—and how we, too, can apply it in our circumstances.
Gratitude is not just an appreciation of what you have, but really acknowledging that whatever you accomplish in life is not just because of your singular effort.
Last but in no way least was Philippine sex therapist and Unprude CEO Dr. Rica Cruz, who got real about sex, being proud of your sexuality, and approaching it on your own terms. Talk about empowering women, right?
The more certain we are with what we want as sexual beings, the more confident we are to share ourselves and our beautiful energy to the world.
Adding to the list of empowering women who shared their brave and beautiful stories was our very own founder and CEO Claire Ongcangco, who, during Parlon's own segment as a sponsor, shared with everyone the beautiful story of Parlon—what it’s all about, how it came to be, and a preview of its exciting future. Most importantly, she highlighted how Parlon is on a mission to make beauty and wellness accessible to everyone.
Parlon may just be starting to take flight (for now, at least 😉), but it wouldn’t be where it is today and where it will be in the future without Claire’s tenacity, grit, hardwork, and resolve to find a solution to the problem of booking appointments—all of which are continually shaping her and Parlon’s brave and beautiful story.
We're proud that we're the only platform in the Philippines to be able to gather hundreds of [beauty service] brands nationwide. We have salons of all kinds—that's why it's beauty and wellness for everyone—and they're growing and growing and growing.
Of course, no anniversary event wouldn’t be complete without a game! In our mission to make beauty and wellness easy for everyone to reach through Parlon, we gave away exciting prizes in the form of products and services to lucky winners, all courtesy of our generous partners. Check out how it all went down 👇
August 27 was definitely an afternoon to remember for us at Parlon and the entire Project Vanity community! 💖 We’re sure that each one had key takeaways, whether they’re the nuggets of truth and pieces of advice from the speakers, or the pampering and beautiful make-up kits and contest prizes.
Thank you again to Liz Lanuzo and Project Vanity for having us over, and our Parlon partners for their generous gifts and giveaways!
